Jessica discovered her love for the world of library science while studying at Southern Illinois University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in speech communication. There, she had the opportunity to work in preservation and cataloging at Morris Library. Afterward, while living in Idaho, she decided to segue into another interest of hers: massage therapy. Jessica was a massage therapist for seven years before enrolling in the iSchool at UW-Madison to finally pursue a master’s in library and information studies and is looking forward to learning more about digital preservation and digital collection management.
