WISPALS

WISPALS is a consortium of 11 Wisconsin technical colleges working to advance the teaching and learning missions of member institutions through sharing information and creating collaborative and financially responsible solutions to common challenges.

WiLS provides the following services to WISPALS members:

  • Integrated Library System (ILS) administration
  • Fiscal agency
  • Governance support
  • Meeting management
  • Strategic planning
  • Project management
  • Research
  • Building relationships and acting as a liaison with peer organizations and vendors

Current and Recent Projects

Resource Guides: Responding to shared, rapid changes in the library landscape, and a need to stay updated as much as possible, WISPALS has started creating shared Resource Guides on timely topics such as Artificial Intellience and Digital Accessiblity.

ILS Exploration and Migration: The WISPALS Executive Committee members explored different platform options for their shared Integrated Library System (ILS) and decided in July of 2024 to migrate to OCLC’s WorldShare Management System.

WISPALS Archives Interest Group: Members of WISPALS library staff are meeting regularly to share information, experiences, needs, and best practices on creating and maintaining digital or physical archives.

New Website: In June 2024, WISPALS launched a newly revised and updated website.
