WiLS 2024 Membership Meeting

WiLS staff
WiLS’ 2024 Annual Membership Meeting was held on Friday, February 23rd, 2024. If you’d like to watch the recording, you can find that on our YouTube channel and you can view the slides here.

We hope you’ll join us for WiLS’ 2024 Membership Meeting online at 10:00 am on Friday, February 23rd! Take a little time to sit back, grab a hot beverage of your choice, and hear about the exciting work our members and project partners have done with us over the last year. In this one-hour webinar, we are delighted to feature these guest speakers:

David Gibbs, Director at the Gays Mills Public Library, will talk about his experience participating in WiLS’ Small Library Strategic Planning Cohort to develop and implement a strategic plan for his library affordably and with a group of colleagues working toward the same goal.

Cassy Leeport, Tribal Libraries, Archives, and Museums (TLAM) and iSchool Library Manager at UW-Madison, will discuss the Cultural Keepers Collective, a collaboration of Indigenous partners working together to preserve Wisconsin’s Indigenous cultural heritage.

Kirsten Moffler-Daykin, Learning Commons Manager at Western Technical College in La Crosse, will share her WiLS Ideas to Action-funded project, Blooming with Books: Cultivating a Community of Readers of All Ages, which aims to address a profound need in language literacy, social and emotional learning, systems navigation, and information literacy across all of Western’s academic programs.

WiLS is honored to be supporting these initiatives and services. We will also preview the year ahead for WiLS and share progress on our five-year strategic plan to strengthen and build our community, fuel innovation, and support organizational health and sustainability for us and our members.

We hope to see you there!
