Data can help libraries tell their stories, advocate, and make important decisions. The Wisconsin Public Library Consortium (WPLC) Data Dashboard, the SCLS Fast Facts, and the WPLC Data Use Toolkit are available to all public libraries in Wisconsin, but it can be intimidating to get started.

Just in time for budget season, this webinar on Friday, July 24, 10:00-11:30 am CT, will walk you through several scenarios and ways to use the dashboards to help you find the data you need to tell your story or make your decisions efficiently and effectively.

Learning outcomes:

  • Participants will have a basic understanding of the WILS Data Dashboard and the SCLS Fast Facts tools
  • Participants will come away with ways to use data to assist with advocacy and decisions and an understanding of how to access the data they need

Schedule:

10:00-11:00:  Presentation (recorded), followed by a short break

11:00-11:30:  Q & A (not recorded)

This webinar supplies 1.5 contact hours for public library director certification.  The first hour will be recorded and captioned and available after the webinar.
