Registration is open for the 2026 annual meeting of the Southwest Wisconsin Association of Libraries!
The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 5th, in the Community Room of the Iowa County Health and Human Services building in Dodgeville. Note: We had initially planned to hold the meeting at the new Dodgeville Public Library, but construction has been delayed, leading to a change in venue.
The SWAL Board is excited to welcome these speakers and their programs:
- How Libraries Made Me a Writer with Rebecca Jamieson, Writer, Editor, and Teacher, Contemplate Create
- Reading to Recovery at the McCoy Public Library with Jennifer Detra, Director, McCoy Public Library (Shullsburg)
- Build Your ‘Brary Using the S.A.I.D. Method: Grow Engagement Ideas Into a Sustainable Programming Farm with Jason Anfinsen, Assistant Professor – Library Department, Student Engagement & Outreach Librarian – Murphy Library, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse
You can find the full SWAL 2026 program here.
The cost of registration is $30 and includes lunch. Four SWAL scholarships are available, and SWLS libraries are encouraged to apply for one of nine available scholarships to cover registration costs. See the registration form to indicate your interest.
Please contact Andi Coffin (acoffin@wils.org) if you have any questions, and please forward this information to any colleagues interested in attending!
We look forward to seeing you at SWAL 2026 in Dodgeville!
Thank you to our meeting sponsors!
