WiLS is excited to share a new partnership with the UW-Madison iSchool! This October, the iSchool will host a five-part tech crash course series on AI and Libraries, featuring expert-led webinars focused on the opportunities and challenges libraries are now presented with when it comes to ChatGPT and other generative AI. This series is for all library staff, whether you are new to AI, cautiously optimistic about what it can do, or questioning the uses of AI.
The $200 full series is available exclusively to WiLS members at a discounted rate of $150 and the third webinar in the series, Uses and Abuses of AI in Libraries on October 17th, is free to all WiLS members who wish to attend.
The five parts of this series will all be held live on Thursdays at 12:00pm CT throughout the month of October:
- October 3rd – AI & Libraries: A Very Short Introduction
- October 10th – Navigating the AI Landscape: Information Literacy in the Digital Age
- October 17th – Uses and Abuses of AI in Libraries (free for WiLS members)
- October 24th – Unlocking Tomorrow’s Libraries: Navigating Generative AI
