Curating Community Digital Collections (CCDC) is now accepting Host Site applications for Year 2!
In 2019, CCDC will support a cohort of ten teams. Each team includes an information school graduate student, a mentor, and a host site.
Host Sites will collaborate with project staff and mentors to plan digital stewardship projects, facilitate student work and commit to continuing project work after the placement concludes. Projects might include creating an inventory of digital content, moving files from external media to more stable storage solutions, establishing a file naming convention and renaming files or standardizing and enhancing existing metadata.
Please note: This is not a digitization program. You must have a critical mass of digitized or born-digital content to participate. CCDC projects do not support new or continuing scanning or reformatting efforts.
KEY DATES FOR HOST SITE APPLICANTS
- Host sites are invited to submit a draft application by 12/7/2018. We’ll review your application and provide feedback to strengthen your project pitch. Let us help you apply!
