In July, we welcomed Marcy Cordova to the WiLS team as our new Cooperative Purchasing Specialist. We couldn’t be more excited to learn from the wisdom she has gained during her many years in K12 schools and libraries, and she has already taught us so much. Here is a little more about Marcy, from Marcy:
Hi, everybody! I’m delighted to join the team as a new Cooperative Purchasing Specialist. That means I will be assisting many of you with the cooperative purchasing process. Whether it’s a new subscription or a renewal, I will help to make the process easier.
I am originally from Merrill, Wisconsin, and received my undergrad degree in mathematics education from UW-Madison. (Go Badgers!) I have held a variety of positions: secondary math teacher, 4-H Program Coordinator, Adult Basic Ed Instructor, and high school Library Technology Specialist. That wealth of experience made me a great fit for this position. I love working with librarians! I also love working with numbers, spreadsheets, and technology.
I currently live with my husband and three cats in Antigo, in north-central Wisconsin near Wausau. I also have two adult children living in Appleton and Green Bay, so I frequently visit the east side of the state. I am a voracious reader and an avid music fan. I enjoy watching football, hockey, and wrestling.
The staff at WiLS has been fantastic to work with so far! Now I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of the WiLS community.
