Our intention in delivering this webinar was to respond to requests from our Native collaborators to help with allyship education for non-Native organizations. We should have more clearly communicated that intention.
We will continue to work on this webinar to ensure we accomplish our key priority: to listen to our Native partners and respect their voices and time. Because we believe it’s critical that we have these conversations, the event will be rescheduled soon and we sincerely hope that you’ll re-register to attend. Every day, we learn a little bit more.
Thank you for asking difficult and important questions.
We welcome your thoughts. Please reach out to us at information@wils.org or to WiLS’ Executive Director Jen Chamberlain at jennifer@wils.org to connect.
Join presenters from WiLS on Friday, June 7th at 1:00 pm CT for a discussion of cultural considerations to be aware of as a non-Native person working with Native Nations communities. The discussion will center around building respectful and ethical relationships with a spirit of reciprocity. The presenters will share their own experiences working within Native Nations community spaces as well as guidance on working with historical materials from Indigenous communities.
