WiLS Data Classroom: Practical Data Skills for Libraries, with Libraries
Be a part of WiLS Data Classroom to learn practical data skills specifically for public libraries and with public library peers.
This opportunity allows you to:
- increase your data skills and confidence
- make meaningful use of the data you are already collecting
- create compelling data-informed stories about your library
As part of the Data Classroom, you’ll explore foundational research and data concepts and dig into monthly topics that build from that foundation. You’ll leave with the ability to identify existing library-focused data resources, collect your own novel data, use data for assessment and evaluation, conduct basic data analysis, and create impactful data visualizations. In addition, you’ll have the chance to network with fellow library staff across the state and have access to the expertise of WiLS’ Data Analyst for questions and inspiration.
The Data Classroom will be a hands-on experience using real-world data so you leave with knowledge that directly impacts your work and outputs that can be implemented immediately.
