Event Management
Let WiLS take care of the details
Coordinating and hosting an event can take a lot of time and administrative work. WiLS event management services allow you to focus on what’s important – your attendees! – by taking energy-consuming tasks off your plate: the coordination of planning meetings, timeline administration, technology considerations, venue arrangements, communication, financial management, and more.
In addition to experience coordinating both in-person and virtual events like our WiLSWorld Shorts webinars, our annual Member Meeting, and past conferences such as WiLSWorld and Peer Council, WiLS currently provides event management services to the Southwest Wisconsin Association of Libraries and the Lake Superior Libraries Symposium. We also regularly coordinate gatherings and annual meetings of the consortia and collaborations we support.

Southwest Wisconsin Association of Libraries Annual Meeting
Held each year in November for the professional development of 45-50 library staff from public, K12, and academic libraries, WiLS has helped coordinate this meeting since 2015 by identifying and working with presenters to prepare programs, soliciting sponsorships and managing finances, providing the registration gateway, coordinating with the venue for space and food, and managing communications before, during, and after the event. WiLS has managed both in-person and virtual versions of this meeting.
Lake Superior Libraries Symposium
The Lake Superior Libraries Symposium, held annually in June, is a regional conference and organization designed to help library staff in the Upper Midwest develop enhanced professional networks and promote resource sharing and communication between organizations. Since 2015, WiLS has helped to manage the registration and finances for the event along with providing guidance for general conference administration and coordination.
