Are you planning for, or in the process of, updating your library space? Are you moving into a new space or renovating your library?  Learn more and connect with colleagues who are on the same path!

WiLS, in conjunction with the McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua, the Soldiers Grove Public Library, and Engberg Anderson, invite you attend a single-day workshop to learn about the process of building or renovating library spaces.  We’ll tour both libraries, share our stories and experiences, and hear from architects about the design, planning, and construction processes.

When:  Tuesday, April 7th, at 9:00am

Where:  We’ll meet at the Rooted Spoon in Viroqua, and travel to Soldiers Grove for the afternoon. Transportation between the two locations is not provided. Please indicate on the registration form if you’re interested in carpooling and we’ll try to connect to others looking for a driving buddy.

Cost:  $40 (breakfast and lunch are included)

Speakers

Bill Robison, AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP B+C

Bill Robison has been with Engberg Anderson since 1990 and became a partner in 2007.  Working on a wide variety of projects in many focus areas has given him the opportunity to stretch as an architect and deliver award-winning designs for his clients. His experience is wide-ranging and includes community, health and senior care buildings, but a constant thread has been the design of over 35 public libraries. A focus on technology innovation and integration, special spaces for children and unique user populations, and library designs that adapt and evolve with changing uses and services has lead to creative solutions for a large number of communities, many right here in Wisconsin.  These include Appleton Public Library, Beloit Public Library, Milwaukee Public Library System, Brown County Federated Library system and Waukesha Public Library.  Bill serves on the board for the Wisconsin Library Association Foundation and has presented at Wisconsin Library Association and WiLS conferences. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
