Outgrow Your Garage Courses

These courses are built specifically for business owners that have some or all of the following limitations in seeking out resources: ● Schedules that prevent them from taking advantage of existing business programming in their communities such as lunch and learns, webinars, or mentoring programs ● Low technical literacy and/or limited access to internet or cell phone service ● Learning needs that are difficult to accommodate within the context of a webinar or workshop ● Do not speak English as a first language or who are new to the US business system ● Workinservice-based business or other industry that has a limited geographical scope and is therefore not a good candidate for investment or lending institutions We manage these issues in the following ways: ● All courses are broken into small modules that can be completed in 10-20 minutes ● Each content module is available as a video with or without captions, as a transcript, or as an audio file ● Eachcontent module has an associated activity for business owners to apply the concept directly to their business. These activities come in a variety of formats, including PDFs for printing, editable downloads, and online forms that can be emailed to the user once complete. ● All course programming, including content modules and activities, is downloadable to a phone, tablet, or computer for offline access ● Courses are created without the use of idioms or language that would be difficult to understand for users with limited English proficiency ● Each course contains examples of how to use the concepts at varying levels of technical competency ● Courses are clearly labeled with their content and what they cover to ensure that users take the course covering the information they need, when they need it. ● Courses that have prerequisite knowledge or skills are clearly marked ● No course has a prerequisite skill that is not taught in a different course
